Imagine two amazing villages in Makassar that have successfully become net zero carbon communities! Bira Village in Tamalanrea District and Tanjung Merdeka Village in Tamalate District are using solar panels to sustainably manage local aquaculture.
Bira Village uses solar panels for tilapia fish farming.
Tanjung Merdeka Village also uses solar panels for vaname shrimp farming.

And in the future, it is hoped that the following will join:
Biopac Indonesia, led by Nory Mulyono, introducing eco-friendly plastic-free seaweed-based packaging,
And Hilirisasi Indonesia Maju, led by Frangky Supit, introducing the Ramahati platform for collaboration and technology integration.
Ramahati is a new platform that, if adopted, will facilitate integrated collaboration between the community, government, and private sector, while also providing access to an eco-friendly marketplace for sustainable packaging.

Location of Tanjung Merdeka Village.
Desa Bira, along with Tanjung Merdeka, has proven that with the right technology and strong collaboration, they can be energy-independent and environmentally friendly. Biopac, as a plastic-free packaging solution, will help these villages reduce plastic waste. Additionally, Ramahati is ready to play a crucial role in facilitating access to a marketplace for environmentally friendly packaging like Biopac. Other cities in Indonesia, such as Manado and its surroundings, can follow in the footsteps of these two villages!
